ICA FUNDRAISER RAISES $33,285 FOR KIDS HELP PHONE

9 November 2012, Regina: The India Canada Association of Saskatchewan is proud to announce that its Annual Supper Night -- held on September 29th, 2012 at the Conexus Arts Centre -- raised $33,285 for KIDS HELP PHONE.

"We are absolutely thrilled with the success of this event which is to date, the largest third party event for Kids Help Phone in Saskatchewan." said Cindy Kobayashi, Kids Help Phone Regional Director. This significant donation allows Kids Help Phone to continue to provide help and hope to young people through professional phone and online counselling, information and referrals.

In addition to federal, municipal and provincial dignitaries, this year's gala featured guest speaker Marc Garneau, Canada's first astronaut and the Acting High Commissioner of India, Mrs. N. Chauhan.

This year marked the 31st annual India Supper Night. Having grown exponentially since its inception, this popular fundraising event has so far raised more than $500,000 for a wide range of causes.
