Food Network star visits Regina as guest speaker at prestigious fundraiser
The 30th Annual India Supper Night will be hosted this Saturday, September 24, on stage at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina. Hosted by the India Canada Association of Saskatchewan (ICA), attendance at this event is expected to top 500.
Featured speakers will be Saskatchewan Lieutenant Governor, His Honourable Dr. Gordon L. Barnhart, and rising culinary star Bal Arneson.
Bal Arneson says she's come a long way from her childhood in India. At this 30th anniversary of ICA's wildly successful "India Supper Night", Bal will share some of her experiences on the way to hosting a popular show on Food Network Canada - The Spice Goddess - and publishing a bestselling cookbook. She will also present a cooking demonstration.
What began as a small dinner in a basement has blossomed into one of Regina's premier fundraising events : "India Supper Night" is a source of great pride for ICA, having risen to date over $400,000 for both local and international charities.
A few tickets for tomorrow's dinner are still available by calling Renu at 306-581-5702.
The ICA launched its first website this year at indiacanadasask.ca.
