ICA has been the host of an India Pavilion at Regina’s Mosaic Festival of Cultures since X. At first, it was just a small affair in a modest setting. Now, the popularity and scope of our India Pavilion requires the large Riddell Centre at the University of Regina.

India Pavilion won best pavilion of the festival in 1991. Our goal with the India Pavilion is to give visitors an exciting journey through India. Volunteers spend countless hours to ensure the authenticity of East Indian culture is in full bloom with the colours, sights, aromas, and sounds of India. The number of repeat visitors to our pavilion increases each year – they always arrive eager to get their hands on our spicy snacks and curries or to cool off with mango milkshakes and ice cream. Then they stay awhile to enjoy exotic inventive drinks from our bar while taking in a dazzling array of entertainment – from dances to fashion shows, music to astrology, henna painting to Hindi calligraphy, there’s something for everyone here. We also set up souvenir booths where visitors can take a bit of India home: colourful saris and other outfits, stunning jewellery, arts and crafts, and so much more.
