Overview
India Canada Association of Saskatchewan Inc. (ICA) is a non-profit dedicated to promoting East Indian heritage and cross-cultural awareness. Our organization is a leader among local multicultural groups in terms of programming, outreach, and community engagement.
Founded in 1975 and based in Regina, ICA membership includes Indo-Canadians along with anyone interested in the celebration and promotion of East Indian culture.
Over the years, ICA has succeeded in our mission in a number of innovative ways. One of our most significant achievements came in 2002 when we worked with the City of Regina and Government of India, through the Consulate General of India, to bring a statue of Mahatma Gandhi to Regina. Today, the statue stands in front of City Hall to bless the community with a message of peace and love.
Our original vision statement:
“To share the immensity of Indian culture for the promotion of peaceful co-existence for all humanity.”
