Republic Day

The 26th of January is a very auspicious date in Indian history: our Republic Day.

One of India’s three national holidays, Republic Day celebrated each year by the people of India and East Indians around the world.

While India's Independence Day celebrates its freedom from British Rule, Republic Day marks the coming into force of its new constitution.

ICA hosts a Republic Day celebration each year in a community location in Regina as an opportunity for Indo-Canadians and our friends to together commemorate this important date.
