Sandstorm hitting Regina

Bollywood Musical Sandstorm, featuring Indian musical icon Ila Arun, will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 25 at the Conexus Arts Centre.

The production highlights three artistic genres - folk, classical and pop/Bollywood - and features choreography and music that is wove with vibrant costuming and staging.

Bollywood Musical Sandstorm rounds out the Year of India in Canada 2011, a series that produced an array of cultural programming in Regina, including many performers direct from India.

Tickets for the production are $30 for adults and $15 for youths and are available at the Conexus Arts Centre box office, by phone (525-9999) and online (www.conexusartscentre.ca).

Arun, who was featured on the soundtrack of the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire with the song Ringa Ringa, will be joined by 40 performers including snake dancers, balladeers, instrumentalists and tribal dancers.
