Bollywood show wraps "Year of India" series

Colorful costumes, energetic dancing, and entertaining Bollywood songs marked the end of the Year of India in Canada celebrations in Regina this week (October 25, Conexus Arts Centre).

Indian pop icon Ila Arun headlined a spectacular production featuring 40 performers direct from India who kept the audience mesmerized for more than three hours.

The show was a constant splash of colours in motion. While the focus was on Indian folk music in Bollywood, the audience had plenty of variety to enjoy. Age-old Punjabi, Rajasthani, and Sufi folk songs intertwined beautifully. Loads of energy flowed around the stage.

Ila Arun created stylish Diwali-time excitement for the audience of over 500 celebrants. Many Indo-Canadians felt transported back home in time for Diwali!

Guests were presented bags of Diwali sweets by the ICA. We thank everyone for their enthusiastic attendance and support.
